Winter Weaving Workshop

This weaving workshop consists of 3 hours of weaving. Students will learn how to warp their loom and use 3 different weaving techniques to create their finished product. Their kits come with tools and color-coordinated yarn to use. The instructor will supply extra fiber for students to learn and explore other fiber contents, textures, and colors to take their weavings to the next level. The workshop ends with cutting the weaving off their loom and adding a supplied dowel to the top for easy-to-hang capability once students return home. Voila! A finished woven wall hanging!
Sara is a self-taught weaver, knitter, and sewist. She has been teaching weaving workshops to creatives of all ages since 2016. She began teaching at her local yarn shop in Philadelphia, and is now teaching in her hometown of Bethlehem, PA. She likes to use materials of all different fiber contents so that students can experience using various materials and achieve different textures throughout their piece.
