Teen Acting Workshop

July 6 @ 9:00 am July 10 @ 12:00 pm

Improv, movement, creativity, and confidence—all in one week! Join Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts (Charter Arts) alum Amanda Lissette for a high-energy acting workshop designed to help young performers think on their feet and shine on stage. Participants will be using improvisation exercises to sharpen skills, increase creativity, emphasize the need to embrace the ideas of others, and handle uncertainty, with or without a partner on stage, in an inventive way. With movement exercises, they will work to use their body to create the world of characters and how they move through it, telling a story using only physical movement. These skills will benefit the young actor’s ability to master cold reads for auditions and/or callbacks, and bring bold choices to the projects they work on. The week will culminate with a short showcase for parents/guardians.

Session runs July 6-10, 9 AM-12 PM daily. Open to ages 12-16.
Part of the school’s Summer Academy, a program of arts enrichment workshops that is open to the community.
