Landscapes like Van Gogh

April 23 @ 6:30 pm 8:30 pm

Learn to create rich and dynamic paintings in the style of our beloved Vincent Van Gogh! In his journals, he describes beginning his paintings in the field and continuing them in his studio, following what he felt with his quintessential chunky brush strokes. In this two part workshop we will break down the technical skills he employed to achieve his celebrated painting style, as well as design and color decisions that may help us paint landscapes like Van Gogh, while also making sure the paintings are unique to us. Students will leave this workshop with two paintings that represent and celebrate Van Gogh’s famous painting style, as well as with an increased understanding and appreciation for Vincent Van Gogh and his paintings.
