From early collaborations with Norman Blake and Tony Trischka to his solo projects exploring Italian string virtuosi and immigrant ballads, Gambetta’s work invites listeners into a rich, cross-cultural conversation shaped by fifty years of musical exploration. His latest release, Terra Madre, features collaborators like David Grisman, Tim O’Brien, and Howard Levy, continuing his legacy of crafting heartfelt compositions rooted in heritage and human experience. Opening the evening is Rees Shad, a masterful Americana storyteller known for his deep catalog of narrative-driven songs and cinematic songwriting approach.
