Wildlands Conservancy – Preserve Volunteers Trail Maintenance Training

April 16 @ 5:30 pm 7:30 pm

Join us for a hands-on Trail Building Training designed to equip volunteers with the skills needed to help maintain and improve Wildlands Conservancy’s nature preserves. Well-maintained trails ensure safe and enjoyable access for visitors while also protecting the surrounding natural environment. This training will teach you the essential techniques to keep trails in top condition! What You’ll Learn:

— Pruning & Clearing Trails: Learn best practices for trimming vegetation and maintaining clear, accessible paths. — Identifying & Correcting Trail Issues: Gain skills in addressing small trail problems such as minor erosion, uneven surfaces, and drainage concerns.

— Sustainable Trail Maintenance: Understand how to maintain trails in a way that minimizes environmental impact while improving visitor experience.

— Hands-On Practice: Get real-world experience working on the trails under the guidance of Wildlands Conservancy’s Stewardship team. Questions? Contact Nic Ziegler at NZiegler@wildlandspa.org. Program is free; please register online at: https://engage.wildlandspa.org/calendar/event/314.
