These adventure paddles are for more experienced paddlers who are looking to up their skills and gain more confidence on their boards. For the adventurous paddler, this is an opportunity to explore the Delaware River and connect with fellow avid paddlers. This is not a paddle for children or beginner / in-experienced paddles. **You will learn to eddy, cross a moving body of water, work with resistance while paddling up a moving river, navigate swifter water as well as learning to maneuver through rock features. **Great for those who want to work with resistance, improve paddle technique, get the heart rate going, and challenge themselves. **We start with a safety talk, review of paddle skills, introduce new skills and make a game plan for our paddle. You will go down river to only go back up again! Super fun and challenging. We provide all the necessary gear (except bicycles) for students as needed. If you are bringing your own board and using an inflatable, please try to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to class start time to inflate your board fully for class. All BYOB (bring your own board) participants must have a valid DCNR boat launch permit and life jacket. We provide anchors for ALL participants unless you have your own.
