PA Jazz Society presents Mike Lipskin on Stride Piano and Ricky Alexander on Reeds

Mike Lipskin is one of the very few pianists that consistently and accurately plays stride. Stride piano is a traditional jazz style, influenced by ragtime, that involves playing bass and chords with the left hand and melody with the right. He has played Carnegie Hall and the Newport Jazz Festival and appeared in the jazz documentary film, “A Great Day In Harlem.”
