Natty Day at Cellar Beast

August 2 @ 1:00 pm 2:03 pm

Natty wine is what happens when winemakers loosen the rules a little and let the wine get interesting. In actual wine terms, natural wines are typically fermented with native yeast, made with minimal intervention, and produced with few additives or processing techniques in an effort to let the vineyard and vintage speak for themselves. Natty Day is our excuse to open the weird, wild, energetic bottles we’re obsessed with right now. Expect pét nats, piquettes, semi carbonic wines, and other low intervention styles that taste alive in the best possible way. Some are fizzy. Some are funky. Some might completely change the way you think about wine. No long lectures. Just a guided tasting built for curious drinkers who want to try something different and drink outside the usual lines. If you’ve never had natural wine before, perfect. If you already love natty wine, also perfect.

What’s included:
-A guided tasting featuring a rotating lineup of natural and experimental wine styles
-Pét nats, piquettes, semi carbonic wines, and other offbeat pours
-Conversation, education, and storytelling from the Cellar Beast sommeliers
-A tasting experience that’s a little less serious and a lot more fun
