Join the Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts (Charter Arts) Literary Arts Department for its “Showcase at the Lodge’ event on Friday, May 1 from 6-8 PM as part of the Southside Arts District’s First Friday celebration. These monthly gatherings, in collaboration with Café the Lodge, have woven the school’s gifted student writers into the fabric of the community, creating a space where stories are shared and heard. Students will present a variety of original work from poetry to prose to fiction and spoken word. Community members are warmly invited to step into the spotlight as well by signing up for the Open Mic portion. This is a FREE event. Guests are encouraged to order from the cafe’s menu. Donations are also welcome!
