The Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts (Charter Arts) Visual Arts Department proudly presents an exhibition “The Art of the Portrait” featuring the work of Konstantin Rudnichenko, a Ukrainian artist based in New York City.

A FREE Opening Reception will be held on Friday, October 2, 2026 from 6-8 PM as part of the Southside Arts District’s First Friday celebration. Rudnichenko’s paintings, held in public, private, and corporate collections, are celebrated for their exquisite likeness, luminosity, and ability to capture the essence of each subject. Deeply inspired by the Old Masters, Rudnichenko blends time-honored techniques with his own distinctive artistic voice, continually refining his craft while exploring new possibilities for expression.

The Charter Arts Visual Arts Department hosts both professional and student exhibitions throughout the year. Artistic Director Lorie Jane Devereux shares, “By interacting with professional artists and their collections, our students have the opportunity to experience new perspectives on how to think about their own work. They see how an artist truly dives into their vision for their work and see it all come together.” The exhibit will be on display through October 17, 2026. To schedule a private viewing appointment during school hours, call 610-868-2971. More information at https://www.charterarts.org/.
