Camp Catlandia: An Adventure in Feelings, Friendship & Courage: Proudly Beads

November 9 @ 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm

Join us for a magical evening in the world of Catlandia! We’ll use storytelling, crafts, mindfulness activities, and imaginative play to help children aged 5-11 learn healthy ways to recognize their feelings, build self-confidence, and navigate life’s challenges. Throughout the workshop, children will create four colorful beaded bracelets inspired by Shanthi Project breathing techniques and mindfulness practices. They will also learn simple breathing exercises and coping strategies they can use at home, at school, or whenever they need a moment of calm. Camp Catlandia is inspired by Ranger is Proudly Sad — a children’s book by local author and teen mental health advocate Lydia Anne Peters. Lydia, who will help facilitate the session, was named Miss Lehigh Valley’s Teen 2025 and currently serves as Miss MidState’s Teen 2026. She is the founder of Timothy’s Echo, a memorial foundation dedicated to suicide prevention and awareness. Pre-registration is required, and children must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver.
