Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival
Join Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival in creating better people and better communities through great theatre.
Nestled in the heart of the Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival (PSF) is a cultural gem offering professionally produced theater to our community. As the Commonwealth’s official Shakespeare Festival and the region’s only professional Equity theatre, PSF brings a vibrant range of productions to life—from the timeless works of Shakespeare to captivating Broadway musicals, contemporary plays, comedies, and family-friendly favorites.
Performing in two accessible theatres at the Labuda Center for the Performing Arts at DeSales University and expanding through regional tours, PSF has welcomed over one million patrons since its founding in 1992. Each summer, audiences from more than 30 states attend over 140 performances across nine productions. With a company of 200+ artists—including acclaimed talent from Broadway, television, and film—PSF is a cherished regional treasure.

PSF offers patrons countless ways to enhance their theatre experience. Attendees can mingle with the artists at opening night champagne receptions, gain unique insights through talkbacks with actors and specialty dinners with directors, or enjoy pre-show traditions like Shakespeare prologues and live music on the green. Committed to accessibility for all, PSF provides ASL-interpreted, open-captioned, and audio-described performances alongside relaxed sensory-friendly options, ensuring every guest can fully enjoy the magic of live theatre.
Beyond the stage, PSF cultivates a lifelong love of theater through dynamic educational programs that reach diverse audiences across the region. The “Play On!” Community Tour brings accessible Shakespeare directly to Lehigh Valley neighborhoods, while the WillPower Tour engages thousands of students across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware with vibrant, relatable productions. For younger audiences, the free Shakespeare for Kids library tour introduces children to the Bard’s timeless stories through playful, interactive performances, planting the seeds for tomorrow’s theater lovers and ensuring the arts remain vital for generations to come.
More than just entertainment, PSF serves as a cultural cornerstone—inspiring, enriching, and engaging communities.
