Our 2019 Community Supporters

Get to know the businesses that are changing our community for the better!

Loving local and wanting to be a part of the growth that is happening in Downtown Bethlehem does not stop at the city borders. We have a special section in each issue of Fig magazine dedicated to Community Supporters—those businesses not located in the City but who believe in the mission of Fig.

Garden Spot Village

Garden Spot Village

A giving community.

As Janie Martin was folding laundry at the CURE Kenya Hospital in Kijabe, Kenya in October 2018, she was inspired to replace the threadbare hospital gowns. When she returned home, she shared her vision with others at Garden Spot Village. Before she knew it, the Mountain View Vision & Design Team had taken on the challenge of helping her to sew 96 sets of pajamas for children in Kenya.

Residents and staff spent countless hours shopping for fabric and then cutting, sewing, and ironing brightly colored pajamas. In September the pajamas were lovingly folded and placed in suitcases, which were hand-carried to Kijabe by members of the Garden Spot Village Travel with Purpose team.

When the suitcases were opened in the CURE Kenya Hospital in early October, the pajamas were welcomed with smiles, laughter, and delight. To read more about Pajamas for Kenya, visit gardenspotvillage.org.

Montage Mountain

Montage Mountain

Perfectly situated in the Pocono Mountains region of Northeast Pennsylvania, Montage Mountain Resorts is just 2 hours north of Philadelphia and west of New York City. Under new management in 2013, the once only-ski resort has transformed to a four-season tourist destination hosting Spring and Fall festivals (including The Peach Music Festival and Camp Bisco) and concerts featuring national touring musicians, alpine skiing, a waterpark, ziplining, community events, weddings, and full-service bar and restaurant.

For wintertime fun, Montage Mountain Ski Resort has 26 trails, a terrain park, and snow tubing area spanning over 140 acres of skiable terrain. With a vertical drop of 1,000 feet, the mountain ties for largest vertical drop of all ski resorts in Pennsylvania. Showcase double black diamond trail, White Lightning, checks in as the 2nd steepest slope on the east coast. One hundred percent of trails are lighted for night skiing and the entire ski area has snowmaking coverage.
