Lehigh Valley in Color

Whether strolling through rows of flowers or meeting giraffes, the region is bursting with energy, character, and unforgettable experiences.

At Bee Well Blooms in Germansville, the season starts with tiny seedlings and grows into armfuls of florals. Owners Sarah and Kevin Smeltz cultivate a kaleidoscope of blooms on their picturesque 40-acre farm, where guests are invited to stop by during business hours to build their own fresh-picked bouquets. On Saturdays, their flower stand brightens the Emmaus Farmers Market, where their cheerful stall overflows with peonies, sunflowers, cosmos, and friendly conversation. It’s not just flowers that bring the farm to life—Bee Well Blooms is also home to some feathered friends, including pet turkeys and geese. But don’t worry, they’re as friendly as they are curious!

At the Lehigh Valley Zoo, families can explore the wild right in their backyard. Located on the Trexler Nature Preserve, this zoo’s unique landscape is home to penguins, giraffes, otters, owls, kangaroos, and more, all nestled within rolling hills and wooded trails.  Say hello to the animals, and be sure to check the zoo’s calendar for monthly events and educational programs. For those in the know, the exit route is half the fun: take the long way out for a splashy drive through the creek, and, with a bit of luck, catch a glimpse of the buffalo herd grazing just beyond the trees.

For $125, an annual pass includes free daytime admission along with discounts on camps, animal encounters, parties, and gift shop purchases. Passholders also enjoy savings on the Winter Light Spectacular and discounted or free entry to AZA-accredited zoos and aquariums nationwide.

Lehigh Valley Insiders enjoy an extra perk: $5 off each daytime general admission ticket.
