Inspire the Growing Performer

Pennsylvania Youth Theatre enriches young lives through acting, singing, and dancing programs for students from pre-K to grade 12, fostering creativity, talent development, and a lifelong appreciation for the arts.

Pennsylvania Youth Theatre (PYT) is dedicated to enriching the lives of young people through the transformative power of theatre. As a comprehensive school of performing arts with 650 students from pre-K through grade 12, PYT offers year-round programs in three core areas: acting, singing, and dancing. The curriculum at PYT challenges students to develop their talents, think creatively, and gain an appreciation for the arts. Through literature-based performances and outreach programs, PYT nurtures the next generation of performers and fosters a lifelong love for the arts in every child.

At PYT, the mission is simple: develop, inspire, and nurture the unique talent of today’s youth. Through stimulating curriculum and specialized training, all students are given the foundational tools to succeed in the performing arts. Ranging from dramatical performances to artistic dances, PYT gives each and every student the opportunity to showcase their abilities to the world. With dedicated professionals at every turn, students are given the attention and commitment needed to truly understand and hone their own special talents as well as how these talents can be used to enrich their lives and the lives around them. As a result, students are immersed in an environment in which they are encouraged to explore various artistic avenues while also learning the value and importance of artistic expression in the world today.
