Laura Penske and CBD American Shaman are bringing the benefits of CBD to the community.
CBD is a hot topic right now, and there are many brands out there to choose from. If you’re wondering if it could be of benefit to you, then Laura Penske of CBD American Shaman has you covered.
Laura and her husband opened their new franchise at 9 East 3rd Street on Bethlehem’s SouthSide in August of 2019. With over 300 CBD American Shaman locations throughout the country, theirs is the only one in the Lehigh Valley.

“I’m especially interested in CBD because I have a background in herbalism, and I tried using a couple of different brands of CBD oil to help with my anxiety in the past,” Laura says. “I never really felt like they made much of a difference—but when I tried American Shaman’s CBD, felt the difference quickly and I was really impressed.”
CBD hemp oil should not be confused with marijuana; it won’t cause a “high.” Rather, CBD, or “cannabidiol,” is the compound of the cannabis plant believed to enhance your body’s ability to maintain balance and manage physical and emotional stress, as well as other therapeutic applications.
“What makes our product different is our proprietary nanotechnology that breaks the CBD particles down so that they cover more surface area in the body,” Laura says. “That way they’re more bioavailable, so they work better, faster, and last longer than other CBD products.”
But Laura doesn’t just want you to take her word for it—she wants you to come in and see for yourself. They give free samples to everyone who comes into the store and encourage people to come back multiple times. “We’re really focused on providing information to people who come to our store,” Laura says, “so that they know exactly what they’re getting and how CBD works.”
