ASR Media Owns Fig Lehigh Valley

This news marks the coming together of two small businesses who care deeply about the Lehigh Valley.

We’ve got big Fig news!

Starting today, June 1, Fig Lehigh Valley will be owned and produced by ASR Media, who will take the power of Fig and amplify the love-local message across the Lehigh Valley. This news marks the coming together of two small businesses who care deeply about the Lehigh Valley.

Fig and ASR both share a passion for this community and a dedication to storytelling and uplifting small businesses and nonprofits in the Lehigh Valley. Fig was founded by Deborah Brandt, owner of Fig Industries, in 2005 in her home city of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, with a vision of city revitalization and a heart for small business. And for the past decade, Fig has been telling stories of small business in the Valley through a thoughtful, curated print magazine and a strong social media presence.

During those same 10 years, ASR Media, owned by Ashley Russo, has become a premier storyteller, celebrating Lehigh Valley businesses through The PEAK TV, video, and motion graphics. Ashley built ASR on the foundation of community involvement and collaboration.

“At Fig Industries, we believe in the power of creativity and collaboration to better a community,” Deborah said. “Partnering with ASR will not only fulfill our goal of passing Fig into the hands of another small business that cares deeply about its community, but it will also expand the value Fig provides to small businesses and to our valued readership. We are thrilled to see Fig soar in the Lehigh Valley!”

Ashley is excited to welcome Fig into the ASR portfolio, collaborating with and supporting local businesses, photographers, designers, and writers to bring Fig to life each season. Upcoming issues—starting with a late summer 2023 edition—will continue to embody Fig’s core values, celebrating local shopping, dining, arts, education, history, and community. With a focus on local content, Fig’s heart will remain unchanged.

“This launches a very exciting new chapter for ASR,” Ashley said. “We can’t wait to explore and embrace this new avenue of sharing important, quality stories from the Lehigh Valley. It’s different from anything we’ve done before but also very similar. There is a great synergy with ASR’s mission of community involvement, and we’re honored to serve the Lehigh Valley in this new way.”
