2019 Social Mission Partner: Café The Lodge

Head over to Café the Lodge and do good simply by eating well.

With delicious, freshly prepared food and a tranquil terrace in the back (perfect for summer dining!), one might forget that Café The Lodge in South Bethlehem is also a hard-working nonprofit that employs and empowers up to 18 individuals with mental health diagnoses. Through the café, employees practice skills for independent living and competitive employment in the community. At Café the Lodge, Chef Allen Singer has created a mouth-watering breakfast and lunch menu, with special items rotating daily. Breakfast choices include omelets, pancakes and French toast dishes, egg sandwiches and wraps, baked goods, oatmeal, fresh fruit, and more. For lunch, the café’s menu features homemade soups, quiche, salads, and creative sandwiches (they are known Valley-wide for their grilled Cuban sandwich with sliced pork, ham, Swiss cheese, pickles, and garlic aioli).

Isn’t it great you can support the good work of Fig Bethlehem’s 2019 Social Mission Partner simply by going out to eat? The only hard part is deciding what to choose. Head over to Café the Lodge and do good simply by eating well.

At Fig, we believe in the power of a community that works together to identify needs and find solutions—one that creates connections and is passionate about helping its neighbors. We believe in the mission of Café The Lodge—our 2019 Social Mission Partner. Please consider supporting and surrounding them this year.
