  • Lehigh Valley holds a unique place in American history—Easton’s Centre Square Courthouse is one of only three locations where the Declaration of Independence was publicly read on July 8, 1776. 
  • Established in 1752, the Easton Farmers’ Market in Lehigh Valley is recognized as America’s oldest continuous open-air market.   
  • The Moravian Book Shop, founded in 1745 in Lehigh Valley, holds the distinction of being the world’s oldest continuously operating bookstore.
  • ​​Each summer, Lehigh Valley hosts Musikfest—the nation’s largest free music festival—drawing music lovers from across the country to Bethlehem.
