To meet Melissa Sterner is to meet a real-life magician.

This lifelong Allentonian makes smiles appear daily. Sometimes hourly.

Her whimsical planters—some are teacups, some are old guitars, some yet to be discovered—can’t help but spark a smile; usually followed by the words, “Now how in the world did she come up with that?”

That’s Melissa for you—this artist and plant store/plant studio owner not only grows most of her own succulents, she even handpicks every single plant and item in her store. “I love getting lost in the details!” she said.

If she’s not floating around her cozy, green shop, Melissa can usually be found at a local school or preschool, teaching children about the wonderful world of terrariums.
