This holiday season, you’re invited to take this unique musical journey and discover a Neverland that you may never have experienced before. We all know the story of Peter Pan, but this show gives a new take on the Neverland setting with festive spectacle in Peter and the Starcatcher. Watch as Molly–a starcatcher in training–and Peter Pan embark on an epic adventure through danger, excitement, and humorous shenanigans. This is a prequel story to Peter Pan.

DeSales University is excited to showcase this magical tale.

“Act 1, the production arm of the division of performing arts at DeSales University, always tries to program a holiday-themed or family-friendly production as its December show.” said John Bell, Division Head of Performing Arts at DeSales University. “We like the idea of offering the Lehigh Valley an entertainment choice other than the typical Dickens fare.”

It’s the perfect time to experience the magic of Peter Pan blended with the cheer of the season.

“We’re so pleased that alumnus Matt Pfieffer, one of Philadelphia’s most successful and sought-after directors is leading this production,” said Bell. “He is particularly adept at staging actor-oriented productions so this show will put all of his skills to great use. And our actors will have a blast creating the swashbuckling world of this hilarious story.”

The show will run from Wednesday, November 29 to Sunday, December 10. Show times vary. Show prices are Monday-Thurday: Regular – $29, Senior/Student – $27 and Friday, Saturday, Sunday: Regular – $30, Senior/Student – $28. It will take place at The Labuda Center for the Performing Arts, Main State Theatre (2755 Station Ave Center Valley, PA 18034).

Don’t miss your chance to go on an exciting adventure you won’t forget.

“If the holidays are about being together with the family, I think this prequel to Peter Pan represents a great opportunity for the Valley,” added Bell. “Anyone who loves the classic story will delight in this funny, and moving, tale of adventure and romance complete with musical pirates, jungle creatures, and unlikely heroes.”
