Meet Fig Bethlehem Contributor Kristina Cole

Why do you like writing for Fig?

I am very passionate about Fig. The vision that Fig brings to our community as far as growth and giving back are so important. We need to work as a team to deliver the word of “Design for Good.”

Where can we find you on a Friday night? Or on a Saturday?

Listening to live music! Almost every day of the week there is live music somewhere downtown. You can visit Artisan Wine and Cheese Cellars, McCarthy’s Red Stag or SteelStacks and find a local musician performing, just to name a few.

What’s your dream day in your location?

My dream day would be to walk Main Street early morning. You can take in all of the historic beauty while the town is still sleeping. I would grab coffee and a bagel at Johnny’s waiting for Bethlehem House Gallery to open. Sitting outside I would make so many new doggy friends. I would check out what’s new at the gallery. Forcing myself to leave because I could talk to Kate or Ward all day, I would meet up with a friend. We would try pretty things on at Jewelwerks and AM Luxe. Next stop would be Franklin Hill Vineyard for a wine tasting. Then, dinner and drinks at Twisted Olive. Finally, we would catch up with our hubbies at The Wooden Match for live music, appetizers, and drinks. Perfect day!

How long have you lived in your area?

I bought my home in August 2008. The day before Musikfest. We unpacked, fested, unpacked some more, and fested again! All week! Best move I ever made.

Who would play you in the movie version of your life?

Movie version of my life would be… that’s hard! I would love if it were Britt Robertson.
What do you love about your area?

Bethlehem has the most amazing people. When you stroll through the town you are greeted by smiling people who often say hello as they pass by. We are so lucky to have so many innovative artists in one place!

What is your favorite local restaurant? Favorite museum, landmark, place to visit?

I often refer to the SteelStacks as my “playground.” It’s cliché to pick the Stacks. But, there is always something going on. Every week you can find live music, things for kids to do, or just a place to roam with a friend.
